Friday 30th and Saturday 31st May 2014 - Arts and Craft Exhibition

An Arts and Crafts Exhibition was held in St. Peter's Church on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st May 2014. The event was co-ordinated by Dr. Margaret Herrington whose idea it was to celebrate the range of art and craft work undertaken by residents of Tilton and District over several decades.

On Friday evening the event was kindly opened by Mrs. Heather Jacks, the winner of the BBC’s Great British Sewing Bee 2014. Everyone enjoyed wine and nibbles, looking at the crafts and chatting to Heather. On Saturday, again a steady flow of people enjoyed the event with tea and cakes and also some interludes of music.

Around 160 visitors came to this successful event and the fantastic amount of £1457.00 raised has been donated to the Bell Tower Restoration Fund.
